Garrett and I headed out to Georgia Pass yesterday with the Bronco.  Made it to the top without any problems, but then we encounted a large mudhole on the north side of the pass.  As I don't have a winch on the Bronco, and there weren't any jeeps out there with one, decided to turn around and back track to Boreas Pass instead.

Here are a few pics of the Georgia Pass area...

Taylor Park Reservoir Camping Trip

In July, we took a 4-day camping trip near Taylor Park Reservoir which is near the small town of Buena Vista.  We stayed at one of the local campgrounds called "Dinner Station," that was used as a stage coach stop back in the 1800's.

Taylor Park is known as a great place for ATVing, as one can ride their ATV directly from their camp location.  This saves one from having to unload/load a trailer, along with the travel time.  Most of the individuals where fairly courteous by keeping their speeds and noise down in the campground.

Taylor Park is also known for its fishing, with large lake trout in the reservoir, along with the numerous streams.  Garrett did catch a nice little trout that he was proud of...it was also his first experience in cleaning a fish.

Here are a few pictures of the Taylor Park area...

I took some time off from work to go rafting down the Big Horn Sheep Canyon on the Arkansas River. The pictures can be found via this link. We had a great time, although Garrett did find himself a bit wet.
